Australia’s largest raptor, often seen circling and soaring high in the air. Legs heavily feathered to its feet with a long tail ending in a ‘wedge’ shape. Hunts mammals, large birds and reptiles, and feeds on carrion – especially road kill.

Found throughout Australia and southern Papua New Guinea.
