Veterinary practice founded in Moss Vale, NSW Southern Highlands, in the early 1950’s by Alan Chittick, with Bill Beresford joining the clinic 1982 and becoming partner in the practice in 1988. Charlie Carter joined the practice in 2006 and became a partner in 2008. The Beresford and Carter practice was a truly mixed practice, providing both a growing companion animal service as well as large animal services (dairy and beef cattle, horses, alpacas, sheep and goats) to the Highlands region. Chris Watson joined the practice in 2010 and became a partner the following year, and the new Southern Highlands Veterinary Centre was opened in a large new purpose-built facility in 2013. The practice continues to grow, and provides veterinary care to farm animals, domestic and companion animals and wildlife across the Southern Highlands.
Provides Veterinary Pathology services to NSW and the ACT as part of the Specialist Veterinary Services Pathology Network.

WIRES is Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation, and has been rescuing and caring for sick, injured and orphaned native animals for over 35 years. Their mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES is providing significant national support for hundreds of projects to assist with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation across Australia and working nationally with strategic partners to support the long-term recovery of wildlife habitat and the long-term preservation of native species in the wild.
HIGHER GROUND RAPTOR CENTRE (HGRC)
Higher Ground Raptor Centre is an Australian bird of prey rehabilitation, release and education facility founded by licensed carer Peggy McDonald OAM CF. It is home to the Southern Hempishere’s first circular free-flight aviary, and facilities designed to accommodate all species of raptors through all rehabilitation stages, from intensive care through to pre-release conditioning, in one of four inter-connected circular flight aviaries.
TARONGA ZOO
At Taronga Conservation Society Australia, we believe that wildlife and people can share this planet. We believe that all of us have a responsibility to protect the world’s precious wildlife, not just in our lifetimes, but for the generations of the future. We have a clear vision to help secure a shared future for wildlife and people with activities that span the fields of animal care, recovery, education, community engagement, guest experience and science.
At Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, we lead conservation efforts in the field and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations for species threatened in the wild. We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos.
WILDLIFE RESCUE SOUTH COAST (WRSC)
Wildlife Rescue South Coast is a large and experienced wildlife rescue group in south east NSW which has been operating since the late 1980's. We cover the NSW South Coast region south of Wollongong to the Victorian border, taking in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, part of the Southern Tablelands, Kangaroo Valley, the Shoalhaven and the Eurobodalla and Sapphire Coasts. Wildlife Rescue South Coast’s primary aim is to rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife to release them back to the wild.
BIRDLIFE AUSTRALIA
BirdLife Australia is leading the way in bird conservation. We work tirelessly to recover the most threatened wild bird species and restore local environments. For over 120 years, we’ve been at the forefront of bird conservation in Australia. Thanks to our supporters, and to the science which informs our actions, we’ve achieved some incredible outcomes for threatened birds – but now, we’re facing our greatest challenge yet: Australia’s extinction crisis.
EGGPICNIC
Eggpicnic is a Canberra-based design studio devoted to wildlife conservation set up by designers and birders Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso. We produce fine art prints and public art to end wildlife extinction through education. Creating characters that tread a fine line between art and design, we aim to capture the beauty of the natural world with the hope of inspiring others to protect it. We actively support conservation programs within Australia with profits from our work donated to support scientific research.
FAUNOGRAPHIC
Faunagraphic is a wildlife tour business run by Matt Wright and Jasmine Zeleny who are based in South East Queensland, Australia. Matt is an aspiring naturalist, wildlife photographer and wildlife rehabilitator who has always had an interest in fauna from a young age and has since turned his passion into a business! Jasmine is a Wildlife Scientist, wildlife photographer and passionate conservationist who loves educating people about our local wildlife.
Matt and Jasmine love all fauna and their knowledge base expands into birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. However, their true passion lies in Australia's nocturnal birds. Their dedication into locating and expanding their knowledge of these species is fast making them some of the "go to people" regarding our birds of the night. Faunagraphic was started to enable us to share our knowledge of Queensland (from Cape York to the Gold Coast) and other parts of Australia with those interested in learning, seeing and photographing our wonderful array of fauna species.
